It is made out of a silk taffeta and then the different sections are all of different colours

It has that wonderful "New Look" feel to it with its full skirts and beautiful fabric combination

While researching we also found a two piece set that resides in the Goldstein Museum's collection made of the same fabric

It closes at the nape of the neck and then the back is left basically bare

He became know for his Chanel inspired suiting and beaded pieces. Adolfo often did custom work for his clients who ranged from the Duchess of Windsor, to Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Gloria Vanderbilt and Nancy Reagan. He even won a Coty Award in 1969.
